Original DDS-01 Lessons One & Two

from $60.00

After the success of Lesson One: The Payoff Mix we quickly jumped back into the studio to experiment and after 2 weekends work produced Lesson Two: James Brown Mix. The obvious next move was to press our own records and this is the result. Only 500 copies made along with some test pressings.

Sealed copies are just that, original factory sealed in 1984. Additional protective outer sleeve with hand-stamped logo.

These pen records are rated VG-VG+, they may have some visual marks that do not cause noise or skips.

Open copies have new anti-static sleeves and new white jackets with our hand-stamped logo, and additional protective outer sleeve.

Only 1 per order/customer. Order will be canceled if it exceeds that amount.

This is the original 12” we pressed up when Lesson Two was finished from a run of 500 and 10 test pressings. All these records have been in our private collections since their manufacture in 1984. There are three variants available : original sealed record; open copy (may show some wear); test pressings (may show minor wear if any).

The sealed open records may have seen minor use, each will be graded. Same with the test pressings.

We were surprised to find these and be assured there are no more! So here’s a chance to get the original two Double Dee and Steinski mixes on original vinyl mastered by Herb Powers and Double Dee in 1984. This edition. the Tommy Boy Lesson Three, and the Disconet records are the best pressings to date, there have been countless copies and boots through the decades and these are the only masters made from the original master tapes.
